Hotspurs Tryouts - April 22-24th

Please note the following:

  • Tryouts are for the Fall 2025 & Spring 2026 Seasons
  • All Hotspurs players must either: live in Ramsey; or attend a school in Ramsey; or attend Wandell Elementary School / Smith Middle School.
  • USYS, US Club Soccer, and AYSO will adopt a September 1 – August 31 age group cycle starting in the 2026-27 season, aligning club soccer with school-year calendars to allow players to compete with classmates.  To read the announcement in full, click here.
  • To ease the transition, Hotspurs will hold tryouts this year following current school year grades.  All players are asked to register for and participate in the tryout of their CURRENT GRADE (2024-2025 school year).  If you are a player currently “playing up” with an older birth year team, you are instructed to try out with your CURRENT GRADE.
  • Hotspurs may consider requests for a child to play in an older grade / age group on a case-by-case basis. If interested, email hotspur.fc.nj@gmail.com and have your child attend both their grade-appropriate tryout and the older grade’s tryout, though approval is not guaranteed.
  • Tryouts are not required for our U8 or Lil' Spurs program. Registration for those programs will take place over the Summer 2025.
  • Once roster spots are announced, you will have 48 hours to confirm your interest in participating in the season.
  • The $25 registration fee will be applied towards your season registration if you accept an invitation for next season.

Please note the following:

  • Lil Spurs Weekly Clinic open to all Boys & Girls currently in Kindergarten and Grade 1.
  • Saturdays: 4/26, 5/3, 5/10, 5/17, (Rain Makeup - 5/31).
